Words of Inspiration from a True Champion : Geet Sethi's email to our rowing team was truly inspiring. Especially when it comes from a sports champion who has been trying to better his own records. For many of us, it felt very reassuring that the top management in our company showed active interest in our team. All the more reason for us to gun for the championship.

Ex-rivals back again : India Cements, our ex-rivals made a surprise appearance for practice today at the Boat Club. They had won the championship twice earlier before we started to dominate the scene. After a two season hiatus, they are back to regain their glory. From what we hear, they are coming up with their full team. The competition continues to become fiercer by the day. Good...Good.

KPMG joins in too : I guess we really must be good influencers. Seeing the Sify Rowing Team, our auditors KPMG have also decided to join the rowing competiton. There seems to be quite a good enthusiasm in them. Good to have their company.

New Coach : For the coming Regatta, our Sify Rowing Team is getting a New Coach, Raja. And we are all very excited. Raja has been widely adjudged as one of the best coaches in Madras Boat Club and it gives a terrific feeling of reassurance in having the Best coach for our team.
We would certainly miss our previous coach Karthik, who took us from being novices to Champions in just three Regattas. He is moving on to better things in live... he would shortly be leaving for Australia to pursue higher education. - Kribs

Professionals are predictable, it's the amateurs that are dangerous! And haven't we proved that in the last two (or is it three kribs?) seasons!! Tom, when you are at the Madras Boat Club, we might be high on competitors practicing, and low on stamina (coz of the lazy 5 months) but then, there's this saying "If you're short of everything but the enemy, you're in a combat zone."....... - Jammy

Tomorrow is the official start of the Rowing Season. For the Sify team, it'll be the start of a mission ..... Win the Championship again and prove to the world that we are BEST TEAM ever in the Merchants and Bankers Regatta Championship. It's also a golden opportunity to make a HATRICK in the prestigious Fours race. - Kribs
